Embrace the future

Hi Erin!  The future's so bright, I gotta wear shades.  InshaAllah.

Aaaaahh!!  Second Life changed something about the graphics, now everything that's flexi turns out a teal blue.  Flexi is what makes hair bouncy, sexy, and blowin' in the wind.  The other option is mesh hair, which is static but (not necessarily) less in complexity thus making the game run more efficiently.  See below how they ruined my hair?  😭

This means I now have less options in hair and skirts.  Maybe they made a mistake, maybe they're still adjusting the light to make it perfect for TV, however I'm inclined to that they have business reasons to phase out flexi.  But how could they get between a girl and her hair?  😭

How do I love thee? Let me trace the way

Hi Natty!  How are you feeling today, my beautiful princess?  I'm guessing that you are feeling kind of in a scrappin' mood today.  I'm guessing that you are in an "I-ain't-gonna-take-no-shit-from-nobody" mood today.  Sweetheart, I love you.  That ain't no shit.  My promise to you is true inshaAllah.  I will love you , marry you, and take care of you inshaAllah.  So don't you worry about a thing OK?  Just have some faith and pray for us.  So, Models.com huh?  I haven't been there in years.  I haven't had the need to.  It's a great place to be found, I suppose.  But some models are prettier than others.  Like you, for instance.

Glutenous rice, salted fish and fresh tomatoes

Hello my Ladies!  Are you hungry?  I recently acquired a taste for glutenous rice, salted fish and fresh tomatoes.  Actually it's glutenous rice with coconut milk.  The story behind this dish is that it's always sold out!  People eat glutenous rice with salted fish all the time here, I'm the only one who adds fresh tomatoes.  I usually go to Embun's restaurant at the crossroads first thing after waking up after going back to sleep after the dawn prayer to get the rice and fish.  She asked me if Americans like to eat the rice and fish with tomatoes and that's why I eat it but no, I'm the only one who likes that combination.  Lately I've been showering, brushing my teeth and putting on nice clothes before leaving the house, and the rice and fish sell out by the time I get there.  Exasperated, I decided to make it myself. 

Anybody with a trained eye can tell that I did the rice wrong.  I had never prepared glutenous rice before, so this first time I chose to put it in the rice pot and cook it like normal rice, adding coconut milk later.  It made a huge, sticky mess.  I used too much coconut milk, and the rice was sickly rich.  Not unpalatable, just not normal.  No worries, I have a lot of rice, fish and tomatoes, and I intend to eat just that for the next few days so I can master cooking it.  I need more coconut milk though.

The 99¢ store

Hello my Ladies!  How are we feeling today?  How's business?  I suppose you might be shy against the Public Eye what with all this scary big business, but you actually have a greater advantage with the public than me.  This is because you are beautiful.  You don't need to hide.  So please don't be cowed by how frightening big business can be.  Use them to your advantage, and they will love you inshaAllah.

Have you ever ventured into one of those 99¢ stores?  If you are on a small budget, you can get quite a lot of stuff at that store.  Over here the theme seems to be RM2 store, which would make it about 50¢ over there.  Most of the stuff is made in China, so beware of buying packaged foods at that price.  Everything else should be OK.  Knowing how to cook is best for your budget, for you can spend small amounts of money and have great meals.  The value of the food you prepare by yourself could be 50 times the amount you spend, because knowledge is power!  One of the local supermarkets just put up a RM2 section (actually it's RM2.10), so I bought some dish detergent, bleach, and glass cleaner.  Not from China, all local!  Amazing, huh!  I was actually there to get some birthday gifts.  This time of year there are many birthdays I can't avoid, namely mine, Erin, my Dad, and my nephew.  Ice cream for everybody!
