Movie Star

Natty, you want to be a movie star?  Where did you get that desire from?  Oh, your family.  I'm sure you know that the heartbreak is greater while the money is worse nowadays for an acting career, but you still want it.  Sigh.  How about the heartbreak of us who would give their lives to protect you?  Please do as I ask you: don't try.  Let it come to you, so you can call the shots..  All you have to do is be beautiful.  And you are beautiful.  Next time you attend a formal event, have your agent get you a glamorous evening gown sponsored.  Make sure you carry yourself like a queen.  Life is a stage, so be a movie star all the time.  After all, you are my wife inshaAllah.

MashaAllah, my life is a movie.  And I don't even go anywhere, I just stay in one spot 24/7.  I don't have the looks nor the desire, but there it is.  Sometimes I get weary with how dangerous and treacherous my life is, but alhamdulillah.  Praise Allah.  God gave me the trust of this music, and no one else does what I do.  I think I'll wear a glamorous evening gown to the disco tonight.

In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Merciful.

101.  Say, "Behold all that is in the heavens and the earth."  But neither Signs nor warners profit those who believe not.

102.  Do they then expect but the days of the men who passed away before them?  Say, "Wait you then, for I too will wait with you."

103.  In the end We deliver Our messengers and those who believe.  Thus it is fitting on Our part that We should deliver those who believe!

104.  Say, "O humans!  If your are in doubt as to my religion, I worship not what you worship besides Allah!  But I worship Allah Who will take your souls.  I am commanded to be of the believers."

105.  Furthermore, set your face towards religion with true piety, and never be in anywise of the unbelievers.

106.  Nor call on any other than Allah, such will neither profit you nor hurt you.  If you do, behold!  You shall certainly be of those who do wrong.

107.  If Allah touches you with hurt, there is none can remove it but God.  If God designs some benefit for you, there is none can keep back God's favor.  God causes it to reach whomsoever of God's servants God pleases, and God is the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

108.  Say, "O humans!  Now Truth has reached you from your Lord!  Those who receive Guidance do so for the good of their own souls.  Those who stray do so to their own loss.  And I am not over you to arrange your affairs."

How's it going today?

I hope you are taking sweet loving care of yourself, and please don't forget to pray.  There's nothing out of the ordinary going on here for me.  I'm at the end of my data cap, so I can't spend too much time a the disco.  Food budget still sucks, so I'm eating the same thing everyday.  Ya Allah, please help me sell some mango trees!  For some reason, poor man's food is healthier for me.  More grains, less experimentation, less fat.

And a good year to you too, Erin.  Incidentally, the Muslim New Year (called Awal Muharam) was on Sunday October 2.  I don't know much about Jewish rituals.  I had to Google it up.

Nat Sweetie, I don't want you to feel slighted because I haven't given you a dowry yet so we don't any anniversaries, be it not a dowry of music.  I must have a first wife before I can put down a dowry for a second wife, and right now I can't afford any wife.  That's why I gave Erin a dowry of music, but I'm not doing that anymore because people get too fanatical about music.  When the time comes for a formal proposal inshaAllah, you will get a ring for a dowry.  And the song I posted wasn't really a gift to her, it was a gift to everybody on the occasion of our anniversary of my proposal to her.  I do want to marry you and I am faithful, InshaAllah.  Right now, it's just a matter of money.

Dinner was steak and pan-fried hummus.  Pan frying brings out the nutty flavor of the hummus, though it dries up a little.
