The all-white cat is the cat of death

Hi Erin!  How are you, Honey?  Is life going smoothly for you?  I hope it is, and that you are feeling absolutely great.  It's been a strange day for me, but I got through it OK alhamdulillah.  I drove my Dad to the hospital, I did some errands, I bought a Slurpee, I killed a black snake by my Mom's back door.  Yeah, a black snake with a marking on the back of its head is called a cobra.

Oh, and I got a new kitten.  People sometimes dump their unwanted kittens in my yard (few of them survive), but this one put such an effort into crying and pleading by my bedroom window that I decided to bring it in.  It's a female all-white cat.  It seemed healthy enough, there were a few fleas but I got rid of them so my main concern is how Floofy and Lookie would react to her.  Lookie was comparatively casual, with just a couple of hisses but mostly pacing briskly around the house.  Floofy is the one who threw a tantrum, and refused her dinner because she was too busy crouching and hissing and looking over her shoulder.  This cat got jealous of her own kittens, folks.  The crouching and hissing is now down to just a staring match, so hopefully things are calming down and we can all get along.  I couldn't think of a name for this kitten, so in the end it was my computer who came up with her name: Yoolie.

Lychees

Hey, Natty!  Natty, you're naked!  Again!  Well, almost naked.  Well, practically naked.  You better watch out for boys following you around drooling, with their shorts down to their ankles.  Please stay away from boys.  You look delicious, Natty.  You are beautiful, and I love you.

Let's enjoy some fruit together, shall we?  You too, Erin.  Let's have some lychees!  Head on down to your local Chinese market, and pick up a can of lychees.  Lychees are best served cold, so let the can sit for a while in the cooler before you open it.  Sweet, juicy, and refreshing!  Just like you!

Chicken

Hi there, my lovely Ladies!  Isn't it a glorious day today?  It is over here!  Nice and cool, and I slept over 7 hours last night so I feel great!  Great!  I hope your day is glorious too, and you are having a wonderful time, and feeling positively great!

Oh, what I mean by chicken is not being afraid like chicken like a scaredy-cat or anything like that.  It's OK to be scared as long as you put your fear in the right place.  Pious people put their fear in Allah.  What I mean by chicken is a big, fat chicken.  Almost 3 kilos!  Yeah the chickens at the supermarket were huge today, and I got a big, fat one.  When I got home, I processed it immediately.  I have to adjust my chicken processing routine to generate cat food, now that my indoor cats have upgraded from kibble.  First I separate the liver from the gizzard.  The butcher had extra packs of liver/gizzards from people who didn't want them, so I took them.  Then I take off the wings: no cat is getting the wings, they're mine!  Then I take off the white meat.  The rest of the bird is cat food, so I strip off what's left of the meat.  The bones go into a saucepan, and I had rice vermicelli in chicken broth for dinner.  Greasy, but OK in flavor.  Next time, I'll blot the grease.

How are you today, Honey?  I hope you are doing and feeling absolutely great.  Great!  Oh dear, look at the time...  I am running late today huh?  I fell asleep after the sunset prayer again.  I couldn't help it, nowadays it's the only time of day when I fight to stay awake.  Besides hot afternoons in an air conditioned room.  Sleep is whenever I get it, so I'm going to have to go with the flow.  Or get epilepsy.  Otherwise, there's nothing out of the ordinary going on.  I cut the grass in the evening.  Oh, and I perfected my tortilla recipe!  Nice, springy tortillas.  It does have to do with adding vegetable shortening to the dough, but not according to somebody else's recipe.  I had to fit the vegetable shortening into my own regular dough formula.  Dough doesn't seem like it would be complex, but apparently it is, otherwise everybody would be making dough.  I don't think I can use this tortilla dough for pizza though.  I don't know.

Congratulations, Natty.  You've gone from eating kibble to fresh, raw chicken.  And all those memories along the way. Truly the charmed life of a Rock and Roll Babe.   Don't you worry about a thing, my beautiful sweetheart.  You are MY girl, and I love you.  Please pray, and give thanks to Allah.
