Happy Eid to Muslims everywhere!  This means the fasting month is over, and I get to drink coffee in the afternoon again.  I thought about giving up coffee since I didn't need it for a whole month but nah, I decided against that.  I will treat coffee like a medicine: I'll take it when I need it.

When you bite off more than you can chew, hide in your bedroom, Grace.  Tell them to pay attention to me, and I will distract them.  Send them to me, and I will deal with them.  Sure, it's Rock and Roll.  Ride the snake, and whatever.  But you don't know what to do nor how to act.  Don't fake your way through.  When you get overwhelmed, send them my way and say, "I am his wife inshaAllah".

Again, don't fake it.  Be sincere even with your mouth full of food.

Hi Grace!  It's marvelous that you hung out with Dave Stewart.  You're meeting all my teenage music heroes while I will never meet a single one.  That's my fault, I guess.

I'll bet you do a lot of jazz odyssey jamming with Mary, I know I would.  That big, clunky guitar is suited for blues and jazz.  You should do a new guitar collection video.

Ugh, I don't feel good.  Well, Ramadan is almost over and I can get back to feeding myself.  Say, that's twice the stream got cut off.  Twitch is supposed to be very stable.  My source tells me someone's doing it on purpose, probably someone familiar with the service.  Not much I can do about it now Honey, but keep an eye on it and reconnect as quickly as possible.  Let's wait and see until I need to come up with a different solution.

Grace, that view outside your window looks like a potential fire hazard.  You probably don't know how to tidy it up and do preventive burning.  At least install some sprinklers to keep the area wet.

Musicians everywhere bitch about their local music scenes, but local music scenes are the same everywhere.  It's a job.  How successful you are depends on how political, hard-working and blessed you are.

Evil doesn't always get away with itself, unlike what most people assume.  Everyone has a timer and when your time is up, your reckoning will arrive.  Whether it be death or whatever.  And Allah has the habit of destroying entire communities at a time.

Live at The Underdog

 

It's fascinating to see how your lineup has changed in such a short time.  Do you think it's a learning process or a trail of destruction?  I do detect prejudice in the Nashville scene.  But when it comes to money, the prejudice is on your side.  They live on a desert island and need to come out to feed.  Don't be in a big hurry against them.

So who do you think is going to be the next James Bond?  Jason Statham would make a better Bond than Henry Cavill.  But a younger Bond would make more movies.  I sure hope the stories are good.  I doubt it, but I hope so.  A female Bond?  Only if a drop dead gorgeous female Bond is secretly a womanizing, callous man.

Hi Honey!  So what is it you're afraid of again?  I'm afraid of God.  Anyway, I had a great dinner tonight and I'm absolutely stuffed.  I was going to play the bass, but this movie came up and I think I'll watch it.  I don't watch YouTube as much as I used to because of the damned ads.  It's much easier to watch my own TV channel while playing bass.  I'll probably dump this movie when the ads kick in so it better be good, YouTube.

I envy your rockin' life, Grace Bowers.  But also I don't.  Travel is for the young, and touring is exhausting.  It's hard to maintain that smile as your hair falls increasingly flat.  So pay attention to your hair: how it looks is a gauge of how exhausted you are.  Don't you pity those poor bands that spend the whole year touring and gigging at dives?  I've done my time doing that shit, now I like being in one place all the time, watching the same sunset as I walk my last walk.  But right now it's Ramadan, so I use the motorcycle.

Don't you agree that interviewers have been nice to you so far?  They're going to get meaner, so be ready for that.  Just be yourself.  Oh, and be patient.

Hi Grace!  How are you feeling, Honey?  I hope you are feeling better.  A fever can be a prelude to stepping up, for the righteous.  Hey, Communication Breakdown is over!  It's been 100 days, and how has the world changed for us?  Ironically, I can't talk about it.  I have received my Ramadan bonus from Allah.  I can't show it off yet, though.  Ramadan is almost over, in less than 2 weeks.  I love Ramadan, it's my favorite time of the year.  I haven't done much cooking this year, because I've been eating at the mosque.  It's a strange feeling, because I like my own cooking.  But instead I have time to cut the grass.  Anyway, the next period of Communication Breakdown is maybe a decade away.  What I know is that I don't talk much regardless, so I might not say anything whenever I feel like it.  Anyway, I'm going to play bass now.  I love you, beautiful girl!

Aw, you took down your old videos!  Boo!  Oh well, I love you anyway.
