The TikTok trial

 Hi Natty!  Happy Sunday!  I hope everything is going well for you, and you are having tons of fun.  It looks like my Jap kids TikTok video got caught up in a trademark clash, so Google cancelled their account.  That sucks.  But don't you kids give up, OK!  Just make another TikTok channel, and let me know about it so I can link to you.  The best way for you to do that is to leave a reply to this post.  Or I'm sure you kids will find a way, because somehow, because you're so cool and so smart.  So "gambatte"!

The bread chase

 Hi Natty!  How are you today, my love?  I hope that all is well with you, and you are having a fabulous time.  I just got done showering, after cutting the grass and eating dinner.  Yeah, I'm always cutting grass.  Grass grows quickly here, and I have a large area to tend to.  I bought some takeout curry this morning.  Just the gravy, to be had with tofu for lunch and fry bread for dinner.  Healthy, huh?  The fry bread is greasy but good.  There's nothing like freshly cooked bread.  I could have locked up my cats in the kitty litter room, but I didn't.  They're my family.  So in turn, they hound me during dinner, and try to eat my food while I'm still trying to cook it.  I suppose I don't discipline my cats well, but can cats be disciplined?  In my case, I love them too much and they know it.  So I managed to get to the point where I'm sitting at the counter top with a bowl of curry, a stack of fry bread and my iced tea.  Ah, iced tea!  Best drink in the world, no contest!  Anyway, I tear off a piece of fry bread then dunk it in the curry before stuffing it in my mouth.  Lookie is the cat that jumps up to the table as close to me as possible, and meows right in my face as I try to put the piece of bread in my mouth.  So I tear off a tiny piece of bread, and throw it across the room so she races after it.  This goes on again and again, with every bite I take.  Lookie is the only cat that does this workout, the other cats simply wait on the ground for the bread to fly.  I don't know how she doesn't get exhausted at the end of dinner time.  So is this what it's like to have a family?  For people to annoy me while I eat?  Well, these are cats not people.  And I don't know what happiness is, so I seek happiness in marriage.

Check out this meticulously composed avatar head!  Not a hair out of place, not a collision in sight!  I bet that bandana came with the hair though, that's why it's so tidy.  Wait, I can see a collision with the right earring!

Mary's hair today is kind of primitive, but I like the style.  The dress comes from digging through the dollarbies, it's obvious.  But our shopping has become so fine tuned alhamdulillah, that the dollarbies are hard to spot anymore, even thought they're all freebies and dollarbies.  This dress is a rare exception, I think.

What would you do?

 It wasn't the fresh tofu and fish balls that hurt my stomach yesterday, it was some fruit.  I know that because I ate more tofu and fish balls later that night, and there was no problem.  So you are an endorser of food products?  What if you bought some food from a merchant, knowing full well that people would take interest in what you eat.  Then you get a stomach ache and you told somebody that so-and-so food gave you a stomach ache.  Later you discover that something else caused the upset stomach.  What would you do?

1.  First off, I would correct the facts to the person/entity I gave the misinformation to.

2.  If I dared, I would buy or eat more of the food that I first suspected to be the problem, to make absolutely sure that it wasn't the problem.

3.  Make a public statement about the food that DID cause the problem.

After all, people do need to know what is being sold out there that is hazardous right?  Do you agree that that would be the right thing to do?  What would YOU do, Natty?

It's almost Independence Day here in Malaysia.  This year the government has been giving out many handouts because of the Covid, plus the usual welfare payout known as the BSH.  Being that I am about 15 grand below poverty level, I qualify and I applied for these handouts, but I didn't receive a cent.  I don't think it's likely that the government would overlook me, not just because of the music mashaAllah but also because I report to the taxman routinely.  Most likely, the payment got intercepted somehow.  God knows.  Maybe they didn't pay me on purpose.

Fresh tofu and fish balls

 Hi Natty!  How are you?  I hope you're feeling good and having fun.  How are the kids?  I mean the fans.  Are they nice to you?  I'm sure you're nice to them.  Yeah, I know they're there.  And here.  I don't interact with them, though.  Because it's not appropriate for an old man to mingle with young kids.  I will mingle with my wife, inshaAllah.  Are you hungry?  I've really been into simple foods lately.  This morning, I took my Mom to the market.  I usually pick up some fresh tofu and fish balls when I'm there.  That's what I've been eating all day, just raw tofu and fish balls.  The fish balls are cooked of course, but they're freshly packed.  Old fish balls get slimy like old raw chicken.  I've had this type of meal before, and it's pure and simple food.  But today I overate, and I got a tummy ache.  I shouldn't have though, so I'm puzzled.  Maybe it was that fruit I had in the evening.  Or maybe it was the almost a kilo of fish balls and 2 blocks of tofu.

Wednesday

 

Hi Natty!  Whatcha doin?  Please keep yourself safe and healthy.  I'm sure it's busy with you over there.  There's certainly a lot of activity around here.  Allah is the great Provider.  I try to take it slow.  There's only so much I can do, plus I'm already where I need to be.  I got a haircut today.  I get my hair cut at a ladies' salon nowadays.  It just turned out that way since the Covid came into the world.  I spent the morning doing my laundry, then running around downtown doing errands.  I picked up my Dad's prescription.  I stopped by the pharmacy to get fungus cream.  The tap water here has fungus, be ready for that.  The kittens brought fungus into my house to the other cats, and I got some in my ears too.  It's about gone though, but antifungal is something I always try to have handy.  I picked up some spark plugs for the weed whacker, chainsaw, and engine blower.  I'm sure down the line I'll be getting more engine tools, a generator for sure inshaAllah.  I had takeout rice in the morning, but I ate out in the evening.  The evening was more relaxed.  I made another batch of dough, and some curry pup stuffing.  I'm watching "Beetlejuice" right now.  I have the computer set up to play random movies.  Next up is wardrobe time with Mary Unknown7!  Take care Honey, and have fun OK?  I love you!

Chicken parm soft tacos

 Hi Natty!  What's going on?  I hope everything is going well for you.  Are you hungry?  I had some pizza sauce left over in the freezer.  I also had some chicken nuggets, so I decided to make chicken parmesan sandwiches.  For the bread, I had some mini dough balls meant for curry pups so I fried them up into mini pita breads the size of tacos.  Then I fried up the chicken nuggets and heated up the pizza sauce.  Chicken parm sandwiches are super easy- it's bread, breaded chicken, marinara sauce, cheese, then bake to melt the cheese.  I didn't have parmesan cheese of course, just sliced cheese.  And I didn't bother to melt the cheese either, I just rolled it all up into tacos and ate it.  The title is misleading, I guess.  It's actually, "chicken parm pitas".  Want one?
