Social Butterfly

It's nice to be popular, huh?  You are certainly hanging around a different crowd than you were 3 years ago.  I would almost say that you're becoming an intellectual.  Do you like to read?  Do you have time to read?  I used to do a lot of reading, but now I'm trying to master one book.  I may never be able do that.  My data quota is almost up, so I won't be able to socialize at Kuula until it resets next month.  What little data I have left will be spent playing with my dolly and programming my TV station.  So there won't be any fashion snapshots of me for a while.  I have to do something about this data cap, but for now I'm afraid I have to stick to budget.

Natty honey, are you suffering from social burnout?  I go through that a lot, but you're not a recluse like me.  You like having lots of friends.  The problem is that you're becoming successful.  I warned you that it's lonely at the top.  You want to be successful AND keep your friends?  It's possible, but not probable.  The problem is jealousy.  You're just going to have to grow up and be a professional, Natty.  Take the money and run.  And don't worry about love, because you have it made in matters of love.  Many people love you, and won't abandon you.

Hot and steamy

But the rain didn't fall.  Which made it hotter and steamier.  And how was your day, my love?  I spent the morning making my generic curry base, after cleaning up the cat area, watering the plants, and hanging up some drapes for my Mom.  My Mom showed the basics of curry, but what I like to do is make a thick base for not only making curries, but curry pups and other curry goodies.  I portion them out and keep them in the freezer to defrost and use whenever.  In the evening, I spent time in the yard burning stumps but it was so windy, I didn't dare do more than a couple.  These damned stumps are all over the compound ant your house inshaAllah, and would easily grow into trees if not kept in check.  I think I'll buy a blowtorch.  For killing stumps and for cooking.  For dinner, I wanted to make some sausage rolls, so I pulled out the sausage in the freezer to defrost, but it turned out I pulled out the chili instead.  Oh no!  Frozen chili looks like frozen sausage!  Which means for dinner I had.... burritos!  I'm so full.  I could only eat 3.

Natty, I need a new pair of glasses!  All the opticians here sell the same type of glasses, you know those small rectangles which I call Korean style glasses.  I don't like that!  I don't want to look like that!

Pina, the type of leather jacket I want your bosses to get for you is the type of leather jacket that makes you look like a rock star's wife.  If they don't give you said leather jacket, then they don't endorse you as my wife.

Aw Erin

My beautiful Erin.  How are those emotions?  How are you feeling, my love?  Mucho hugs and kisses my Queen, I love you so much.  Don't you worry so much.  Ooh, it's already the end of February.  My, how time flies.

Natty honey, how are you feeling?  Wow Natty, your natural look is just awesomely beautiful.  Love that duck face!  So is it true you're having your wisdom teeth out?  I read somewhere that models do that to improve their profile.  Your looks don't need improving, Natty.  I've told you already.  So I hope you got your wisdom teeth out because they were hurting.

I would like to give the public an update about the Shadowplay's next album, "Woo Hoo".  As you know, I started "Woo Hoo" in 2007.  Yeah I'm slow and lazy, but I also got evicted and moved to another country since then, and lost my musical instruments.  But now I'm down to the vocal tracks, which happens to be the last instrument.  I originally planned "Woo Hoo" to be a concept album with sound effects and acting, but now that I'm on the last stretch, I've decided that it doesn't need sound effects and acting.  Seriously folks, I'm not just being lazy.  It's pure music.  Wow, it's 2017!  There are 11 tracks on the album, and I've completed tracks 1, 2, 3, 4 and 11.  Right now I'm preparing for vocals on track 5, which is to me the most difficult track on the album, plus I haven't written the lyrics yet.  So I'm looping the instrumental track over and over, until I get a full grasp on what needs to be done.  This song will take a while folks.  Once "Woo Hoo" is finished, I promise that it will be released quickly and be easily available.  InshaAllah.

I made an error with my black outfit today.  I wore the wrong skirt, that it looks like I have my tank top tucked into the skirt.  With the jacket the outfit looks fine, but without the jacket it looks a but weird.  Also, here's a photo of my fried noodles in the wok about to get stirred and served.  It looks impressive, but it's missing an ingredient.

Society

How are you feeling today, my Dearest?  Busy in the sports world?  I am feeling quite exhausted today.  I've been putting in extra work being social, and being social is hard work for me because I'm a recluse.  People like to say, "Be like the Prophet (peace be on him)".  The Prophet (peace be on him) was magnanimous, I am reclusive.  Nobody can be exactly like the Prophet (peace be on him).  Nobody can match the Prophet (peace be on him) in demeanor and deeds, that's why he is the Prophet (peace be on him).  I can only do the best I can, and be grateful that Allah is my judge, not the humans.  I'm feeling weary of humans right now.  So I stayed in and tried to sleep as much as possible (which hasn't added up to 6 hours yet), and cooked my dinner early.  I had fried calamari.  Alhamdulillah.  God said in the Qur'an that in heaven, we will never suffer fatigue.  I'm not in heaven yet.

Natty honey!  How are you feeling, Precious Girl?  I hope you are keeping safe, and eating properly.  Are you having fun with your buddies?  Enjoy your career, OK?

Other voices

Oh, that corn bread looks good Erin.  Corn meal is hard to find here, actually I have never seen it here.  I'm going to have to make masa from scratch, and I don't think it would have the same texture as corn meal.  I'm sure there's some white flour mixed in with the batter for corn bread, otherwise it won't rise.

Little Luca has such a sweet personality, and she's very well behaved other than having a more sensitive than usual tummy for a cat, which affects her relationship with the toilet.  It's almost as if she doesn't want anything in her stomach at all, not pee, not poop.  So even if there's a tiny bit of pee or poop in there, she has to get it out.  Luca, it's not as if you have to go outside.  It's not as if you have to use the public restroom.  But anyway, she had been smelling of kitty litter, so I had to give her a bath.  I can't snuggle a kitty that smells of kitty litter!  Oh, she doesn't like bath time.  Such a dainty thing, yet she mustered up enough strength to pry the bathroom door open and make a break for it.

Natty, somehow I get the feeling that you talk and use social media more than you reveal on your Instagram.  Which is fine with me Sweetheart, do as you feel is right for you.  I'm just letting you know that if you need to talk to me then go ahead.  I'm sure I would have different info for you than your buddies and your immediate family.

Lunch was rice vermicelli in soup.  For dinner, I got some fried chicken at the night market.

Sunday

Nothing much to report today my dearest, just the same as usual.  Every Sunday morning, I clean my mother's bedroom and toilet plus my other daily routines.  It's a nice setup isn't it, as arranged by Allah?  That I combine my career and home life, so as to not be separated from my wife.  Aw Erin, you are so beautiful to me.  I love you.

And Natty, you must be busy.  Well enjoy your success my dearest, make the most of it, have tons of fun, and save what you make now for your future.  Please make sure you eat properly, and pray.  You are such a beautiful girl.
