The paradox

 

Hi Natty!  How are you feeling, Honey?  Still fishing away?  Let me clue you in on a paradox, my darling.  Since you're catching all the small fish you need, doesn't that make you a big fish?  It means that you are fishing for and being fished by the big fish.  How big is your pond?  Pretty big, right?  I guess you don't feel like a big fish.  I don't blame you Honey, neither do I.  But this is it, remember?  What were you expecting?  Did you want to drive thru in a limousine?  I've done that!  All I got from that was a Big Mac.  I think the difference is that we need to go to McDonald's together.  Then we can get 2 Big Macs.  But today, I got takeout from KFC.  You know what was on my mind while I was eating it?  "Damn, this ranch dressing is good!".  I would love to try some fresh bluefin tuna, though.

Hi Natty!  Oh, the waters of emotion!  Please be careful Honey, the fish might be more interested in you than the bait.  You don't need to fish like that, Honey.  Please keep safe and healthy.  Stay on solid ground OK!  At least stay on the boat.

But really, there's only the big fish left.  I think we have all the small fish we need.  That big fish needs patience, so don't try so hard.  Just relax, and enjoy the sail.  I love you!

Hi Natty!  What's going on, Honey?  How's business?  Pretty serious, huh.  Well, they had better treat you with respect and pay you well.  You are MY girl, and I love you with all of my heart.  Please keep safe and healthy at all times.  Today is the 9th day of the Hajj, and I always fast on this day.  I don't know if I would have the strength to walk the Hajj.  It's looking like I will need an electric wheelchair.  Growing old sucks, of course.  But remember, it's what you did when you were young that makes it really suck.

Jane has grown up from being a preemie to a beautiful cat.  She went into her first heat last week.  I thought she would be coming out of heat right now, but unlike her mother she is very good at hiding it.  The only way I can tell that she's still in heat is when she flirts with her father.  Then he being the sex machine he is, pounces on her.  But I can't just let Adolf pork his daughter.  So I shuffle them between different rooms and closed doors to keep them separated.

Ranch dressing

 

Hi Natty!  How is it going today Honey?  I hope you are feeling wonderful and having a marvelous time.  Always keep safe and healthy, my love.  I'm dragging my feet today, literally.  The pizza joint really messed up my feet.  But I did learn there how to make a great ranch dressing!  Better than the other stuff.  I'm going to share it with you!

Oh dear, I'm kind of like a go-with-the-flow cook, but here's what I did for ranch dressing the other day.  This is for a 470mL jar of mayo.  It has to be good mayo, not that cheap "mayo magic" stuff that comes in a bag and is mostly grease and sugar.  Americans can use Best Foods, while the locals here can use Lady's Choice, Kraft, Kimball or even Giant brand.

1.  470 mL mayonnaise

2.  Some finely chopped fresh chives

3.  3 medium sized red onions

4.  3 cloves garlic (or was that 4?  I forget)

5.  120 mL full cream milk

6.  ½ tablespoon ground black pepper

7.  1 seasoning packet from a chicken flavor ramen

Put the mayo, chives, black pepper and ramen seasoning in a mixing bowl.  Blend the onions and garlic in the milk.  Add the blend into the mixing bowl then whisk the mix gently until all the lumps are gone.  This batch of ranch is strong with the garlic, but boy was it great with the fried chicken I bought at the night market!
