Mick Karn

Natty, you're so pretty!  Did you draw those yourself?  I have to agree with you that it does suit you.  Thank you, I love you.  Don't worry Honey, I'm not going to kill myself on purpose.  That's against my religion.

I was an 80's teen!  Do you want to see a photo of me when I was a teenager?  I'm sure you do.  It's a snapshot of an old snapshot, so it's definitely not HD.  I was a scoundrel back then, a nightmare to my parents.  I guess I'm still somewhat of a nightmare...

I just discovered Mick Karn this week!  Even though I grew up in the 80's, I'm surprised at myself that Japan flew past my radar.  I think it's because the mix wasn't bass heavy.  If the music had been just bass, drums and vocals like the following video, I would have surely caught on:

It's a cover, I know.  I'm in the process of producing the follow up to "Woo Hoo".  It's called "Rise of the Horizon Creature."  For "Woo Hoo" I did drums first, but for "Rise of the Horizon Creature" I'm recording bass first.  I wrote a couple of songs for the fretless bass.  I used to have a fretless bass, but I gave it away to the mosque while I was still in Tempe.  I'm sure that no one else but me cares whether the bass for those songs are fretted or fretless, but I need a fretless bass immediately.  And it makes a difference that I get it now as opposed to later as an item of luxury for a decrepit old man, because I'm not going to go back and redo the tracks.  Stay with the times, people.  Ya Allah, please grant me a good fretless bass quickly!
