Qur'an 20210920

In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Merciful.

100.  Say, "Not equal are things that are bad and things that are good, even though the abundance of the bad may dazzle you.  So fear Allah, o you that understand, that you may prosper."

(The Repast 5:100)

Hi Natty!

Wow, that's a great photo of you.  I love your serious face.  You always look great to me.  You are so beautiful Natty, and I love you with all of my heart.  It's Sunday here today, and it's been a busy day.  I managed to record some drum fills at a very low volume.  I'm having a lot of fun with this current project, making up for having no equipment with scientific trickery and changes of perception.  Hee hee!  I'm not going to talk about it.  Let it be a mystery.

Wow, there are so many female heavy metal drummers in Japan.  I didn't know heavy metal was that popular over there.  The band names over there are very interesting.  Junna is my favorite Japanese female drummer.  She's got flair and charisma.

Steak and hummus calzones with curry dip

Hi Natty!  Hi there, you beautiful creature!  What's going on?  I hope all is cool with you.  Are you hungry?  I made some steak and hummus calzones with curry dip for dinner.  Yeah, I had to use up all that hummus I made.  I actually tried making hummus calzones before, but it tasted incomplete.  I so decided to push it further by adding meat and curry.  It probably would have worked if I put the curry inside the calzone, but this way is a little more civilized don't you think?  The dip is just mixed curries that I bought from Embun's restaurant at the crossroads.  That's where I usually buy my lunch when I'm too lazy to cook.  The calzones came out nicely, I think.  Nice and round.  They're about fist-sized, maybe smaller.  Want one?

Peanut butter

Hi Natty!  How are you today?  Is everything ship-shape, Sailor?  I'm doing OK over here, just longing for you as usual.  I went to the Chinese grocery store the other day to get a pack of my favorite fried peanuts.  The usual brand I buy was sold out, but there was another brand that was more expensive and well-packaged.  The peanuts were tightly vacuum-packed and that's the key to buying cooked peanuts, is that the vacuum pack isn't compromised.  However, the peanuts didn't taste good.  It didn't taste bad, and it didn't even taste neutral.  Which may seem strange, but this is my palate and my blog.  I'm not going to eat all those peanuts as is, but I can't throw them away either.  So I decided to turn them into peanut butter.  I don't have a food processor, but I do have a blender/grinder.  I had to grind the peanuts up before putting them into the blender.  I added some real butter in there, in the hope that it would help move the mix and add flavor.  I guess I should have melted the butter first.  In the end, I had to add palm oil to get the mass to move in the blender.  The end result was a success, plus I know for certain that it has no sugar.  I'm pretty sure you love peanut butter, and there are even the brands you are used to available here possibly.  But I can safely claim that the home made stuff is better.  It's strange how sweet the peanut butter is over the peanuts it was made from.

Relativity as applied to the valuation of values

Hi Natty!  How are you today, Honey?  I hope you are feeling well, and all is well.  Have you done your accounting?  Don't procrastinate with your accounting, Honey.  Something is better than nothing, and have a permanent place among your stuff for your accounting.  Do it yourself unless you can afford to pay someone to do it for you.  Tax years move faster than regular years so please don't be a politician, and make sure you are current with the taxman.

I worked on my latest wands this evening.  I don't have any tools other than a hacksaw and a flat file, so it's a long process.  I don't even have any clamps, nor anything to clamp the clamp onto.  I have to hold the bamboo with my hand and work it with the hacksaw, and that damn thing snags like hell.  But I finally got past the hacksaw stage, next I can start with the flat file.  I did create a splinter on the smallest wand.  Careless and impatient.  The splinter isn't on any impact point but on the handle, so I may have to tape it.  Damn.  That pisses me off.

Qur'an 20210916

In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Merciful.

76.  Say, "Will you worship besides Allah, something which has no power either to harm or benefit you?  But Allah it is that Hears and Knows all things."

77.  Say, "O people of the Book!  Exceed not in your religion the bounds transgressing beyond the truth, nor follow the vain desires of people who went wrong in times gone by, who misled many, and strayed from the correct way."

(The Repast 5:76-77)

What are you watching?

Hi Natty!  How are you, Honey?  I hope you are feeling good, and enjoying yourself.  What are you watching?  TV is everywhere nowadays, and even the baby sister is a producer.  I'm sure there are entertaining events going on around here that you may be interested in.  I don't have a camera on them, but I'm sure someone does.  I'm already here, so my basic awareness suffices me, I don't need to watch TV about it.

I've gone back to watching the pimple popping videos.  Most of them have become dull but when they work on the nose and ears, that fascinates me.  I like the dental scaling videos, but there's just not enough of them.  When I can afford it inshaAllah, I want to get one of those high pressure water picks.  I don't have anyone to operate the vacuum pump to suck out all the excess water, though.  Honey, are you busy right now?  Dammit, I don't have enough tartar!  Actually, I'm watching "The Lord of the Rings" right now.  The movie is so long, this is my second day of watching it.  I should finish watching "The Fellowship of the Ring" tonight.  Maybe.
