Hi Natty! Whatcha doin'? Are you back at your beautiful little cottage in the Vancouver mountains? You love it, huh? It's so much better than an apartment in the city, right? There's no place like home. I hope you are healthy and happy, and having a fabulous time. What did I do today? I cut the grass, and harvested more of the fruit that I don't eat. But other people eat it, I suppose. What I did have for dinner, was chicken tenders and fries. Let's face it folks, for cooking fries at home there's no beating the frozen fries. Sure some frozen fries are better than others, but all are better than peeling and slicing up potatoes then frying them up. Home made chicken tenders though, can match or beat anything you can get at a restaurant. It's simple: slice up the chicken breast into strips, coat with flour, then coat with egg, then coat with that orange bread crumbs stuff. Then deep fry in hot oil, yeah the same oil as the fries, and don't overcook the chicken. Just a couple of minutes! So simple, so good. If you folks (you local folks, that is) are dipping the chicken in that bottled extra hot hot sauce that you find on the supermarket shelf, then don't use too much of that! A little bit goes a long way. If you douse your fried squid or whatever in that sauce until you use up half the bottle, of course you're going to get a stomach ache.
Happy 4th of July!

Friday
Hi Natty! How are you today? I hope all is well with you. Not much going on here with me other than the usual. It's Friday. I went to attend the Friday prayer after a long break. It rained both to and fro, but I had to go and leave quickly to attend to Mary Unknown7's session. I got soaked but I was wearing a hat, so my head didn't get wet at least.

Natty, you're so beautiful
I love the way you look, and I love you. Congratulations on your Dior job. They were certainly very clever in choosing their models. Please make lots of money for yourself. You are MY girl, and I will marry you inshaAllah.
There are all sorts of collisions in today's snapshots, but I think Mary Unknown7 looks great today.

Fruit that I don't eat
Hi Natty! Yay, Dior! I love that hoodie. You must be nervous and excited about that Dior cover, huh? Don't worry Honey, you did great. It's interesting how they arranged that brand name so the main thing we see is the word "Christian". Way to mess with people's heads! Do you like that type of scooter, Natty? If you don't want to sit behind me, we can always ride side by side and hog the road.
Have you ever tried jackfruit? There are 2 types of jackfruit that are common here. I spent the evening harvesting the sickly sweet type, which oozes a sticky white resin. I don't eat jackfruit. Too sweet for me. So I have 27 fruit sitting on my porch, and my mother took one for herself, and is going to give the rest away.

Go-with-the-flow means cooking my own dinner
Hi Natty! How's it going? Are you having tons of fun? I hope you are healthy and having a marvelous time. What are you having for dinner? I sure wish you would take snapshots of the food you eat when are eating out, at a tropical paradise at that. I had to do some running around in the evening. I blew up the wheelbarrow tire yesterday, so I had to install a new one. While I was out, I wanted to get some takeout fried noodles. When I got there I saw that they had no noodles, so I didn't want to wait in line for them to tell me that they were out of noodles. So what's the backup plan? While driving home I thought about that, and decided on fried chicken. I passed by KFC, and thought it was too expensive. Fried chicken is fried chicken, you know what I mean? I was sure there would be something local on the way home. Well, there wasn't. I took a right turn, then took a left turn, then went straight past the light, and didn't come across any fried chicken. I should have bought KFC when I had the chance. In the end, I had sardine sandwiches for dinner.
Mary's hair looks a bit primitive in today's snapshots. That's because it was originally pink cyan and I colored it black. It's gotta be black hair, y'know.

Cat chaos
Ah Natty! Back to the beach! I'm happy to see that you're working. You must enjoy being back at the tropical paradise again. It does look nice and clean over there. The models look well-chosen! I hope you are feeling great and enjoying yourself.
I woke up at 4 am as usual, but to surprise in the kitchen. The kittens have learned that food comes wrapped in plastic, and that gnawing at that plastic breaks it open and the food spills out. These kittens were born to mice probably! I had a fresh bag of rice sitting on the cooler, and woke up to the kittens chowing down on and in a mess of raw rice. So I had to clean that up at 4 am, and clean up poop mixed with raw rice at 4 pm. The kittens are growing up and getting bigger, and getting into more mischief as kittens do. I'm glad they are happy. I had to hide all food packages in the drawer. I took Bro outside to ready him for a male cat's destiny. He's still so cute and fluffy, it's a shame he's going to grow into an ugly tomcat. Yeah, I've seen his father. An ugly white tomcat up the road. Here are some snapshots of his day outside. That's such a fluffy tail! That black cat is my brother's cat. She's just here to poop on my porch.

Cream of chicken and lentil soup
Hi Natty! Yes Honey, I listened to your podcast. Are you hungry? I was looking into my cooler at whatever was left in there, and I had an idea. All I needed was a pint of milk, so I went out and bought one. What I learned from lentils is that lentils will not be cooked in non-traditional ways. Therefore, lentil soup. Now the boneless chicken breast I always buy is not skinless. I usually chop up the skin and fry them up crispy to make artificial bacon bits for my ramen. But I thought it would go better with lentils if I let them stay soft and white. After soaking the lentils, I blended them in milk as fine as possible. I could have bought cream, but the lentils add thickness to soups. Then after frying up the chopped chicken skin and chopped garlic, I added the blended lentils. Yeah it was so thick, I could stand a spoon in it. So I had to add water. It didn't take too long to cook at low heat, but it needed to be constantly stirred or the lentils would cake at the bottom of the pot. The only thing left was bouillon, and it was a success. Alhamdulillah! Served with fresh home made pita bread. Very filling, very milky, very mild!
