Just another average day

Hi Natty!  How are you?  I hope you are healthy, and having a wonderful time.  It's just another average day here for me, there's not much to report.  It's Sunday, so I had to clean my mother's bedroom in the morning.  The menu is dull today, fries for lunch and chili for dinner.  I didn't feel like doing any labor in the evening, so I watched a movie.  "Avengers: Endgame".  I like that movie.  It's one of those movies I could watch over and over again.  Anyway, I'm going to log in to Second Life next and work on wardrobe with Mary Unknown7.  I love you!

Flat noodles

Hi Natty!  How are you, my angel?  I think you are doing a splendid job, being a beacon of light to all out there, especially the children of the music.  I can't interact with them, but at least they have you.  I love you.  I hope all your business is easy and fruitful.

I made fried flat noodles for dinner, if you want to try some.  It's nice and soft, and easy on my jaw that had been attacked by the lentils recently.  I used to eat fried flat noodles all the time when I was a kid, from this Chinese man at the restaurant by the old theater.  I would watch him cook up the stuff, and until this day his technique is what I use today.  That guy is dead now, and the restaurant is now a hotel with glass doors.  I love fried flat noodles with cockles, but I'm grown up now and I know what cockles eat so I avoid them.  I can get somewhat the same flavor with chicken.  First, fry up some chopped garlic in about a tablespoon of oil on medium low heat.  When the garlic is brown, add some hot sauce then mix in  When hot enough, add some sliced chicken.  Next add the flat noodles.  Flat noodles here come greasy when fresh, because the grease keeps the noodles separate.  If it's not greasy, it's not fresh!  Dump the noodles into a strainer, rinse and separate them with your fingers.  Then add it to the wok.  Add soy sauce to color, then mix gently by folding.  The soy sauce isn't enough to flavor (unless you use a lot) so I sprinkle some anchovy bouillon.  When hot enough, make a crater in the middle of the mix, turn the fire down to low, and crack an egg in there.  Add salt or soy sauce to the egg, stir and wait for it to harden.  Then fold the noodles over the egg, mix in then shut the heat off.  Add the vegetables on top, and mix them in one last time, just like a salad.  It's ready.  Serve it.

Emotion

Hi Natty!  Oh, was I wrong?  Are those emotions still raging?  I'm sorry.  Don't you worry about a thing, my precious Princess.  Everything will work out just fine for us inshaAllah.  I want you to know that I love you with all of my heart, and I will marry you inshaAllah.

Are you hungry?  Dinner tonight was tortillas, stuffed with teriyaki chicken and mushrooms, with a local bitter bean hot sauce I bought from the corner restaurant.  I marinated the sliced chicken breast in a simple teriyaki sauce- sugar and light soy sauce.  First I fried up the sliced oyster mushrooms and ginger, medium heat!  Don't shrivel them up, just enough to make them soft then pour the teriyaki sauce over it.  Yes, the sauce you marinated the chicken in.  Make sure the mix is hot enough, then cook the chicken until it turns white then it's done.  The tortillas were a bit fat today.  That's my fault, I made the dough balls too big.  I couldn't roll them out any thinner or they wouldn't fit on the cooking pan.  I'm full.  Boy, I'm stuffed.

Chili

Hi Natty!  How are you feeling today?  I suspect your emotions have calmed down somewhat, and you are back in the real world.  Well, I hope you are feeling healthy and happy and everything is easy going for you.  I have had enough of lentils!  Today it's back to chili.  I had a pot of beans slow cooking off and on the stove top for the past couple of days.  The key to great chili folks, is to focus on the beans.  Make sure the beans taste great THEN add the beef.  It's a good idea to wash the beans first before you soak them.  I think I did that, I don't remember.  Don't throw away the water that you soaked the beans in!  Cook the beans in that water!  Add more water as you need it.  I haven't been adding tomato paste into my chili lately, but today I decided to do that.  I dunno, I just felt like it.  The result is, that it tastes like chili.  It doesn't taste unique, it tastes exactly like chili.  It tastes so NORMAL.  I think those lentils really messed with my head.  And my jaw.

I have a white rose bud in my yard growing bigger.  When it blooms, I'll have Mary Unknown7 start wearing other colors again.  Sunday is still black, though.

Lentil soup

Hi Natty!  How are you today, Honey?  I hope all is well with you.  It's just the usual going on here with me.  Today is laundry day.  I cut the grass in the evening.  I had ramen for lunch and *sigh* lentil soup for dinner.  The lentil soup was thick and rich, it was so good that I could cry.  I'm not crying because it was good, I'm crying because I'm despondent.  I'm despondent that I couldn't find anything new and exciting to do with lentils, and got the best results by sticking to old-fashioned ways.  I didn't have to do much to it.  I bought some curry at the corner restaurant and heated it up, blended the lentils then added it to the curry, cooked it at low heat and stirred often to stop the lentils from sticking to the bottom of the pot.  That's it.  Yes, the cats were fighting over it.
