Eggplant omelet

Hi Natty!  How are you, Honey?  Have you been wearing lots of girlie clothes?  Oh I know you're embarrassed to wear them, but you look so delicious in it.  I hope you are having tons of fun my love, and keeping safe and healthy.

Is your tummy feeling good?  Are you hungry?  The cooler rules the menu in my house, and today I needed to use up eggs, eggplant and rice.  Also, the yard gave me 4 ripe cashews.  I caught those just in time, because the birds were interested in them.  So I decided to have steamed white rice with an eggplant omelet.  Plus, I made a salad with fresh cashews (not the nuts), onions, red hot chilli peppers, and salt.  I guess you could call it a salad, it's supposed to be a condiment to the rice and eggplant.  The eggplant omelet was simple.  I cubed the eggplant and fried them up until soft and greasy.  Then I added 3 eggs I whipped up with some salt and poured it over the eggplant, then cooked it as an omelet as usual.  It was such a simple concept, and very pure.  The only seasoning was salt.  I didn't expect much out of it, but the combination turned out to be perfection alhamdulillah.  When you don't add a lot of salty foods and sauces to white rice, it becomes sweet.  Hm, the cats were wolfing down plain white rice today for some reason.

Hi Natty!  How are you, Honey?  I hope you are feeling great, and having a marvelous time.  I'm doing OK.  I just got done cutting the grass, then made my dinner which was curry noodles.  After I finish this post, I'll head out to the mosque for the sunset prayer.  After I finish all my work, I'm going to watch Sailor Moon Crystal.  I haven't seen all of that yet.  I hope everything is going smoothly for you, Natty.  I love you!

The Silence Glaive

Hi Natty!  How are you today, my love?  I hope that all is well for you, and that you are safe and healthy.  I would say that it's a solemn day, would you agree?  The water supply for this village got cut yesterday about 4 pm or so.  I had a little water in the reservoir in my bathroom, enough for a shower and ablution before the noon prayer.  Afterward though, it wasn't enough to get through the night.  But the rain fell, alhamdulillah.  There is a runoff from the roof on the outside of my bathroom, and the amount of water dispensed is fast and large, especially if the rainfall were heavy.  There is debris from the roof of course, but something is better than nothing.  After I collected enough to flush and possibly shower (I still had ablution water), the rain stopped and I got ready for the night.  Then the tap water came back.  It was filthy, though.  The runoff from the roof was cleaner.  Honey, we absolutely must build a rooftop reservoir for your house inshaAllah.

I got Mary's avatar a new toy: The Silence Glaive.  I was hoping for her to wield it all the time, but the animations I have that suit the scepter are limited.  And in Second Life, the animations must be best for the outfit, otherwise the avatar would look ungraceful.  Fashion!

Translation to halal

Hi Natty!  How are you, Honey?  I hope you are safe and feeling well, and are enjoying yourself.  I'm doing OK over here.  I did my laundry this morning, then I did some kitchen work.  I don't have much cash right now, but I did manage to score some cabbage, string beans, eggplant, a couple of peppers and a carrot for RM5 yesterday.  So I processed that into a stir fry mix, but I roasted the peppers and kept them in the cooler.  I had ramen for lunch, using the fish head and kelp broth.  I tried using eggplant in my ramen for the first time to see how it would work out.  I suppose it's OK, perhaps it would have been better if I cut the eggplant into noodle-like strips.

Check out the video above.  I guess the guy is some sort of food blogger, and he can sure eat.  One restaurant after another, like falling dominoes!  Everything is delicious to him, and I must say that it does look delicious.  Especially the parfait.  Now I'm dying for a strawberry parfait, and they have nice strawberries in Japan.  All the food looks good, but the problem is that it's not halal.  And since it isn't halal, I have no desire to go there and eat any of it.  But food like that could be translated into halal given the right means.  Like the parfait and sushi, that would be easy to make halal.  Pork is impossible though, and if the restaurant had even only one dish with pig in it then the whole menu is contaminated.  Because of the kitchen.  Pork could be substituted with beef depending on how you would cook it, or chicken if you were cautious about subduing the taste of chicken.  Is it worth it?  I would just study the concept of the dish, then make my own interpretation that would be halal.  For instance, ramen with tonkotsu broth.  I substitute the pig broth with blended veggies that were stewed in beef bones, and add butter for fat.  Hey, if you didn't know what it tastes like then you don't miss it.  As for the native diner, he can just go where he usually goes to eat it.  But food cannot be 100% international if it were not halal.
