I found another cute Animal Cover video!  I wonder who the next James Bond will be?  Perhaps they will choose a young Bond this time, someone who can handle 7 movies.  I sure hope the writing will be as good as Ian Fleming's.  Work on the intrigue, guys!  Give us mind candy!  My favorite Bond was Sean Connery, but my favorite Bond movie has Roger Moore as Bond.  The gadgets are 60's and the fight scenes aren't very choreographed, but the overall feeling is exotic.  Don't change Bond's nature!  He is a callous womanizer!

Ugh, plenty of bad vibes on the road today, but I'm still here writing this letter to my Sweetie so alhamdulillah.  I would have stayed at home but I had to get bread, kitty litter, spaghetti fixings and a bar of soap.  I'm not brave Honey, just disgusted.  I also had a sugar binge, which I loved and regretted.  I bought a juice pop and it was so good, I bought another.  And another.  It was awesome at the time, but later I felt sick.  I don't normally eat that much sugar.  Friday is ramen day.  This time I used my roast beef as a soup stock instead of fish.  It was OK.  If you wanted to make soup stock, then you must use the bones.  Beef bones would have been better.  Dammit, the egg I used in my ramen had an unstable yolk!  Plus, the shell fractured into small pieces.  This means the tray of eggs I bought the other day wasn't fresh.   A tray of grade D eggs was RM6, then it went up to RM10.80, then it came down to RM9.60, and that's when I bought it.  This tells me that the price of eggs went up because they wanted to make more money, not from any shortages.

Hi Natty!  How are you, Sweetheart?  Is everything cool with you over there?  It's bloody hot over here.  I have to cool my cat down with ice, myself I take showers.  Whoops!  After preaching about real and fake food yesterday, I bought some spotty cauliflower.  My Mom told me to buy half a head of cauliflower and when I got to the grocer, all the cauliflower had spots.  But that was all there is, so I bought it.  When my mother was processing it this morning, she got upset with me for buying bad cauliflower.  I told her that was all there was.  She grumbled that I bought it because it was her money, not mine.  Well, she has a point.  I don't ever want to manage someone else's money.  If anyone gives me money to spend, then it better be my money.  I'll report the income to the taxman and pay taxes on it if I have to, but I'm not doing someone else's spending for them.  I can't refuse my mother however, and that's the reason I bought the spotty cauliflower: because she told me to buy cauliflower.  Sorry, Mom.  I won't do it again inshaAllah.  I love you!

109.  They swear their strongest oaths by Allah, that if a Sign came to them, by it they would believe.  Say, "Certainly Signs are in the power of Allah.  But what will make you realize that if Signs came, they would not believe?"

Food

 

Hi Natty!  How are you today?  I hope you are doing well, and enjoying yourself.  What did you have for dinner?  I finished off the rest of the curry pup fixings I prepped a few days ago.  I'm pretty sure the potatoes, onions, and beef I used were real.  I can't really tell with flour, but it tasted OK.  I always get my lunch at the corner restaurant, and the boss generally gets his produce from the neighbors, who grow the stuff in their yards.  That is as pure as it gets.  If the produce looks too good to be true, then it's chemically treated.  I guess we take this for granted no matter what country we're from, whether it be China or USA.  Again, if produce looks excellent then it's not pure.  That's just the produce, what about the other stuff?  It's a blessing to have knowledge of cooking to be able to tell the quality of food products, but still a lot of junk gets through.  Because it looks so good.  Or because we are too poor to avoid it.  Sigh.  Might as well eat the microphone.

Gold!

 

Hi Natty!  Hi there, rich girl!  How much gold can you carry?  I take good care of you Honey, inshaAllah.  Be sure to guard your health, safety and chastity.  I sure would like to do some spending myself, but I always have to wait.

It was a busy morning for me.  I had to drive my mother around on some errands.  I got back barely in time for lunch, which was takeout rice.  Yes I eat takeout all the time nowadays, because I've run out of time.  I've got to get all the music in my head published before I croak, and that takes time because it's a labor of love.  Anyway, I barely had time for a nap before Mary showed up for her session.  But I didn't pass out today.  I was tired, but I didn't pass out.  I did a little burning in the evening, and I had a simple dinner.  I had to use up the dough I made for the curry pups, so I had steak and egg tacos.  I didn't get full.  I didn't want to get full.  I would offer you some, but I'm at the point in my life right now where I would rather buy tortillas than make dough.

Hi Natty!  How you doing, Honey?  I hope you are bright and happy, and taking good care of your health.  It's Monday over here.  They lifted the ban on interstate travel today, and the traffic started to pour out of their respective states right at midnight.  So there are a lot of strangers in town right now.  I didn't go anywhere other than to pick up my lunch, and I spent most of the daylight making curry pups.  Oh, and I did my laundry in the evening.

It dawned on me lately that I haven't made curry pups in a long time.  I've been cutting back on labor, that's why.  I use my standard dough recipe for the curry pups, which is flour, water, yeast, salt and oil.  For the stuffing, I chopped up some of my bulk roast beef to add to the curry spices, diced onions and boiled potatoes.  For extra moisture and flavor, I added a tablespoon of my home made chilli sauce.  It was OK.  Tasted like curry pups.  My curry pups probably have a little more balls than most other recipes but in the end, curry pups are so normal around here.  I've never put boiled eggs in my curry pups like the video above though, but whatever.  I'm sure it all comes out the same.

Mary absolutely loved the sideburns!
