Pouty girl

Hi Natty!  How are you, Honey?  I hope you are feeling great, and enjoying yourself.  I want you to know that I love you with all of my heart, and I miss you deeply.  Oh, I got my water supply back.  It was a trickle, but since I hold it in a reservoir then it's not an issue.  Unless of course the pressure is too low, and the water level won't rise above the window sill where the hose goes in.  It was like that at first, then the pressure inched ever so slightly that the water barely made it into my reservoir.  Phew!  So I managed to do my laundry along with all other daily water chores.  I don't think most other folks were that blessed.  I'm sure the water supply has gone back to normal by the time I post this blog.  I don't know.  I haven't checked.

So what do you think of Mary's avatar's new skin?  I like it a lot.  I think it's intense.  The problem is that the avatar has lost a lot of its expressiveness.  This is because the smiles don't look good anymore.  The avatar only looks great when she doesn't smile, which makes Mary a pouty girl.  Well, Mary IS a pouty girl because of all the love songs she has to sing.  If I wanted the avatar to have a cheerful demeanor, then I would have to switch back to the previous skin.  But pouty is good in this case, I think.  It just SO intense looking.

Love the skin you're in

Hi Natty!  How are you today?  Are you doing well, my love?  I hope you are.  It's a hot day here today.  Plus there's no running water.  There hasn't been any since yesterday.  I don't have any running water in my house period, so I keep a reservoir in my bathroom, which means I probably have more water than other folks do.  Which isn't much, really.  I think I have enough for 4 more flushes, one shower, and possibly 24 hours of prayer ablution inshaAllah.  So I'm holding in the pee as much as I can.  I haven't added cooking water in there, but I'm pretty good at conserving that.  Honey, we absolutely have to put a water tank on the roof of your house inshaAllah.  Which means there has to be some sort of flat surface on the roof.  Which means a hobbit house is out of the question.

Mary got a pretty big tip recently, so I used the Lindens to buy her avatar a new skin.  Do you like it?

Less labor

Wow Natty, that is a sexy photo.  You are so beautiful, my love!  And that dress, I would love to see it all.  I hope that you're doing well over there, and all is easy going for you.  I love you with all of my heart.  I just got done with dinner after cutting the grass, and my left arm is shaking.  My arms usually shake after cutting the grass, because the weed whacker spins fast and my hands have to control it.  But I need to cut back on as much labor as possible.  There's no one else to cut the grass or clean house for my mother, so those can't be avoided.  What's left is cooking, so I am cutting back on that.  I'm eating takeout more, and preparing bulk amounts of quick fixes whenever I do cook.  Less labor cooking, less labor eating, and less labor cleaning up.  There's also less creativity in the kitchen.  I have so much computer work to do.

Frou-frou foxes in midsummer fires

Hi Natty!  How are you today?  How are those nerves?  I hope you are able to keep your excitement under control, and all is calm and collected.  God usually works slowly, you know.  Little by little the big wheels turn, then bam!  Suddenly everything happens all at once.  Please be patient, and pray.  I know you love your coffee, Honey.  I like coffee, too.  I have only one cup of coffee everyday.  I totally need it at about half an hour into Mary's set, otherwise her voice puts me into a coma.  I saw on YouTube the other day that too much coffee is bad for your kidneys.  Along with too much salt, red meat, painkillers and sitting down.  Dr. Zam would like to add bad seafood to that list.

Sigh.  I suck at picking out lyrics.  I remember back at the end of high school, I had to pick out the lyrics for David Bowie's "China Girl", and "sacred cow" sounded like "sacred clown" to me.  Thus I preferred to Google the lyrics for "Frou-frou foxes in midsummer fires", and what I got were all pretty much like this:

These lyrics sound to me what I can only describe as "Lord of the Rings in Spanglish" (and I have no idea what the video footage is about).  Liz Fraser seems like an intelligent and poetic woman to me, so I refuse to believe that she wrote such ridiculous drivel.  Some phrases like "fire drake's ignitions" fit, but most of the lyrics are unusable.  What I got is definitely not what Liz Fraser wrote, I must assert.  Grammar is all shot to hell, too.  What I tried to do is to make the sounds that she made on the song as emotionally logical as possible.  It seems to me that this song is a summary of the entire Cocteau Twins career from the perspective of Elizabeth Fraser.  "Pulled rounder" has a double meaning, of dancing and of being pregnant.  The dance possibly refers to the first time she met her husband, and the disguise suggests that she became a singer to impress him.  Crazy, huh?  Elizabeth Fraser is one of the most beautiful voices ever.  Liz, please share with us the actual lyrics of the song, otherwise Mary will be using these words.  Well, this is my meager contribution to the music community for today.  Sigh.  I suck at picking out lyrics.

Frou-frou foxes in midsummer fires

A girl couldn't know

As God and the rest

How marriages be

A war or they lose

Closed in himself off

A fire drake's ignitions

Return infant's breath like

Milk handout to baby

And they are magical

They soar on silver (super) wings and nausea

She started pulled rounder

My blazening eyes on the youthful science

Cherry-colored light under the music is playing

Cause of the music (because of you)

All that I do (All I have done)

I improvise I'm in control

Is to wait on you

Rounder, louder, closer, tighter

Pulled rounder

Let go let him go

We'll sure pass each ways

Unless we can bring

Love up a new passion

Let's wait these things over

We're young I was eagerest

I'm losing his face

I have nested to find you

A girl couldn't know

As God and the rest

How marriages be

A war or we lose

Closed in himself off

A fire drake's ignitions

Return infant's breath like

Love handout to baby

And they are magical

They soar on silver (super) wings and nausea

And so I marry him

Why?  It's because I used a disguise

I used it to find you

Downhill run!

Hi Natty!  How's it going, Honey?  How's the knee?  Oh it looks like a light scrape, but I hate to see even the slightest blemish on you.  You're so beautiful.  Please don't do anything dangerous for fun, please keep yourself safe and pristine.  That stuff is fun to watch, but please don't do it yourself.

Oh, it's Monday!  At first I didn't want to go out, but the weather was clement so I had to take the opportunity to go to the office of the Mufti (boss Islamic official) to get the next prayer schedule.  The Islamic New Year is about a week away.  My own schedule revolves around the prayer schedule.  I get the prayer out of the way before I attend to anything else.  That's me though: Islam is flexible, but I find the best way to do the stuff I do is to attend to the prayers first.  I had takeout rice for lunch, and I fried up some noodles for dinner.  I used the leftover fond I had from the roast beef.  The noodles were successful, and sweet.  Want some?

Computer generated singer

Hi Natty Honey!  How are you feeling today?  I hope you are doing well, and having tons of fun.  It's Sunday over here, and as usual I had to clean my mother's bedroom.  I didn't do any cooking today though.  I had takeout rice for lunch, and one of the locals gave me some glutenous rice with salted fish.  I really like glutenous rice with salted fish, but I have to have it with fresh tomatoes.  The combination of flavors and textures is like perfection to me, I will make it for you someday inshaAllah.  I didn't have any tomatoes, so I saved the glutenous rice with salted fish for dinner and I went out in the evening to buy tomatoes.  The closest grocer is about 2km away.  It's a good thing they were open, otherwise I would have to go downtown to hunt for tomatoes.  I would have, too.  I absolutely HAVE to have tomatoes with my glutenous rice with salted fish.

Is Mary Unknown7 a computer generated singer?  Maybe...

Just an average day

Hi Natty!  How ya doin' today, Honey?  Just chillin' and watching TV?  That's what I've been doing.  It's just an average day over here, doing more of the same old same old.  I went grocery shopping in the morning, my cooler was empty.  So I bought beef and chicken breast.  I'm thinking of quick meals, so I'm going with the bulk roast beef approach again.  Yeah I have a lot to do on the computer, so I am not in the mood for food experimention, and probably won't be for months.  So I have a pot of roast beef slow-cooking on the stove top right now.  Dinner was sliced bread with a chicken breast cooked in honey and butter.  I think you would like that.  I bought some fruit, too.  Mangosteens are in season right now, so I bought a couple of kilos.  Despite the name, it doesn't taste anything like a mango.  It's more like a Sweetart flavored kiwi with the occasional pit.  Check out the video above.  Doesn't that look like paradise?  Fruit trees growing on flat ground with clean bubbling brooks.  Everything is oh so clean, and the grass is so short.  The only bugs in sight are a few ants.  Tell me where that is, I'll go there.
