Hi Natty

How are you today, my precious love?  I hope you are healthy, and doing well overall.  I expect that you are busy being Mrs. Global on the Internet.  I pray that it's not a hassle for you.  I want you to know that I think of you always, and I love you with all of my heart.  Everyday seems to blend seamlessly into another nowadays, I guess that's part and parcel of just being at home all of the time.  I don't need supplies at this time, and I don't even need to dump the trash some days.  I have to admit that I quite enjoy it.

Check out the cat montage in today's Jap kids video!  It's priceless!

Friday

Hi Natty!  How are you?  I hope you are healthy and happy.  It's Friday over here for me.  It doesn't feel like Friday, because there's no Friday prayer.  I haven't been out and about since the end of last month, when I went out for supplies.  Time sure flies when you're having fun.  Yes, I actually enjoy the stay-at-home order, known here as the MCO.  Which is being extended until April 28.  I can't believe it's been that long since I went to town!  I had a bowl of ramen for lunch today.  I love ramen!  Well, I like the way I make ramen.  I made curry for dinner, with 3 extra servings which went immediately into the freezer.  I hope it keeps.  Anyway I hope you are keeping yourself well, my darling.  You are probably getting all restless without your society.  I'm sorry about that.  This virus thing looks like it's going to last a while.

Eggs

Hi Natty!  How are you?  I hope you are doing and feeling well.  I'm doing OK here.  Not much to report though, it's mellow today, and mellow is good I suppose.  I vacuum cleaned my mother's house in the morning.  What did I have for lunch I forget... oh yeah! Fries and a mushroom omelet.  Mushrooms make the omelet soggy, so beware.  Fry the mushrooms until dry first, then add or whip them into the eggs.  In the evening, I had to kill a thorny palm under the jackfruit tree behind my house.  Burned to death!  It's probably not dead though, that particular palm has tough roots.  I'm going to have to dig out the roots tomorrow or something.  Dinner was rice with spicy eggplant and a couple of eggs sunny side up.  Hey, my sunny side up eggs turned out OK today!  Yeah, I have a lot of eggs right now.  Alhamdulillah.

Full moon madness

Pink moon, huh?  I didn't get to see it.  I haven't been outside at night for a while already, and it didn't occur to me to go out and look at the moon last night.  I must admit that people are more irritating than usual today, or maybe that is the norm, God knows.  I stepped out just now to see the moon.  It's a little past sunset, and all I saw was a single bright star in the sky.  A lot of clouds on the horizon, it did rain a little this evening.  I didn't get the evening off, though.  I still had to cut the grass, it rained after I was finished.  Maybe I'll step out later and try again, otherwise I'm just going to have to settle with looking at your snapshot.

Qur'an 20200408

In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Merciful.

16.  Say, "Running away will not profit you if you are running away from death or slaughter, and even if, no more than a moment will you be allowed to enjoy!"

17.  Say, "Who is it that can screen you from Allah if it be God's wish to give you punishment or to give you mercy?"  Nor will they find for themselves, besides Allah, any protector or helper.

The Confederates 33:16-17

Coconut cream of chicken and eggplant curry soup

Hi Natty!  How are you, my love?  I hope everything is going great for you, and you are enjoying your own cooking.  I haven't been paying much attention to my own cooking lately.  Like I once mentioned, I just want to stuff my face and move on.  I am grateful that Allah granted me some knowledge of cooking.  Thus, I'm going for quick and easy fixes right now.

I came across some great coconut milk the other day.  It was so thick, it was almost like oobleck.  But it was pure coconut milk, so awesome.  I made some curry with it last night.  Just simple curry: blended onions, curry powder, a small chunk of "belacan" (fermented shrimp paste), water and salted fish with the super coconut milk.  It turned out so thick, and there was so much of it, that I had to freeze half of it for the next day.  Which is today, so I fried up some eggplant, mixed in the leftover curry (which was almost like oobleck), then diced up some cat food (chicken breast) and dumped it in there.  It ended up like super thick chicken and eggplant curry flavored chowder, which I ate with some pita bread.  I think it was a success, alhamdulillah.  Want some?  Oh, I ate it all!  Sorry, no snapshots!

I love that dress

Please wear it again for me someday.  Someday soon, inshaAllah.
