The Masked Singer

Hello Ladies!  I pray that you both find this generic greeting acceptable, because I'm sure you would agree that we need to hide our names more.  To me you are both the same, it's simply a matter of whose turn it is.  I'm sure the occasion will arise that I will have to address someone individually.  I beg you to accept this marriage as it is, and not try to dominate one over the other.  As for your song, I wrote "May" too high for me to sing live late in the set.  If the computer brings it up in the first 40 minutes, then I will sing it.  Then it would be time for "Yearning" to take its turn.  Please forgive me for my flaws.

"The Masked Singer" is a great show, but it's wasteful to have both the singers and the judges be celebrities.  They're going to run out of celebrities, (if not already.  Nobody is a celebrity anymore!  Everybody is just "some guy on YouTube"!)  They should have the singers be celebrities, and the judges be contestants, like on "Jeopardy".  Whoever has the best guessing record will be the champion, and win a prize!

The Lagerfeld Connection

The news of Karl Lagerfeld's passing away is certainly very sad.  I have always admired the man and his work, especially in making Chanel be and remain so Chanel.  Even though I knew we would never meet, I have always wondered what his opinion of me was.  Which is a rare desire for me, since I normally ignore other people's opinions of me.  Any connection between me and Karl Lagerfeld is and always has been third party.  It began somewhere around 2002, during a most embarrassing and humiliating period in my life, so much that I won't discuss it here.  It's a good thing www.mysteryrockband.com has no record nor archive!  I was a bigger freak show then than I am now.  I guess I amused him somewhat.  Since that period is over, I thought he had lost interest in me.  If what I did were to be any sort of trend then he would have taken notice, as was his life and work.  But then maybe he did notice.  Whatever the case, I will probably never know now what he thought about the "voices of the dead" that Allah gave me.  From Allah is our origin and to Allah is our return.

Chicken nuggets and fries

Hi Natty!  How are you today, my precious beauty?  Are you having tons of fun being a supermodel?  Well you better be, because you're gorgeous and I love you so much.  I guess you are still not ready to be the wife of an international rock star.  Well, apparently there's no hurry.  Even with money inshaAllah, there's still the issue of building houses, and getting it all done efficiently and properly.  But who knows, maybe it all will happen in a flash and we will sit and wonder, "How did we get here?"  God can do anything.

Otherwise, it's another average day.  I couldn't get to the mosque early because of the rain, so that's why I'm blogging now.  It sounds like the rain has died down, so perhaps I'll leave after I post this letter.  The menu has been quite bland today, after yesterday's culinary fiasco.  I'm quite disheartened that I can't experiment with food much more, I used to have quite an iron stomach.  How's your tummy?  So dinner was chicken nuggets with fries, straight up, not even with ketchup.  Just salt and pepper.  But it was a huge helping, so there's enough for all of us.  Want some?

Hot dogs

Hi Natty!  How are you today, my love?  Are you having tons of fun being a supermodel?  I hope you are.  Please keep yourself safe, and please pray OK?  Oh, it's a trying day for me.  It didn't start out so bad.  It's just when lunch came about, I decided I wanted to try out one of the plants growing in my yard.  Called a "munggai" locally (English translation being Horseradish Tree, Drumstick Tree, West Indian band), the locals devour the stuff usually in a curry.  I've never had the stuff and since it's fruiting like mad in my yard, I wanted to see what it was like, simply boiled in salt water.  It made me sick.  Almost ruined my voice training session.  This frustrates me, because most of the stuff growing here, in which I put in so much labor, I can't eat.  Others get to eat it.

Maybe I prepared it wrong, I don't know.  Since I'm getting old, I will probably never eat it again and stick to familiar foods.

No, I didn't have any hot dogs today either.  I did buy some fish sausage for dinner, which kind of looks like a hot dog.  If you are eating hot dogs, then you are just plain everyday folk or you are just plain broke.  If you're not used to being broke, be patient before you backtrack and start asking for favors.  People generally don't like people who are broke.  Perhaps you have an international rock star who loves you.  If that's the case, then show the world how beautiful you are and that an international rock star loves you.  InshaAllah that would provide you with extra influence when you backtrack and ask for favors.

Things suddenly got clearer (or blurrier, depending from what you're looking out of)

Hi Natty!  How are you feeling today, my beauty?  I hope everything is going great for you, and that you are having a marvelous time.  What did you have for dinner?  I had some tortillas, with breaded chicken, beans, sauteed onions, and shredded lettuce.  Nothing special, but at least I didn't spend any money today.  Save, save, save!  Not much going on, just the usual routine and mishaps.  I watch a lot of YouTube.  I like to look for great new chick singers.  The Internet is so handy: I get to enjoy new music without having to go to clubs and parties.  No Sweetie, I would never marry a singer.  Competition is fun to race with, but not to marry.  Plus, none of them are as pretty as you.  You are professional pretty!  I don't use social media other than this blog, and I guess you can't call this social since it's a monologue.  So it's interesting to see others try to communicate with me by way of Google.  😀  At least I don't have to socialize with them.  Anyway my darling, I have a new problem to deal with so I am going to go figure it out now.  Looks like I won't be joining the night prayer at the mosque tonight.  I love you, Natty!

81.  No just estimate of Allah do they make when they say, "Nothing does Allah send down to man."  Say, "Who then sent down the Book which Moses brought?  A light and guidance to humans, but you make it into sheets for show, while you conceal much.  Therein were you taught that which you knew not, neither you nor your fathers."  Say, "Allah!"  Then leave them to plunge in vain discourse and trifling.
